Lessons are private (one-on-one) and are ½ hour once a week. Students are expected to spend a minimum of 2-4 hours a week practicing lesson material at home. Progress reports can be provided to parents upon request. All lesson materials (method books, metronomes, manuscript books, sheet music, music stands, etc.) may be purchased at Andy’s Music.
Lessons are currently $80 per month. Lessons are to be paid via Automatic debit of either a personal checking account or Credit / Debit card beginning on the date of the first lesson. This is our payment policy and this will be strictly adhered to. By prepaying for your lessons monthly, you are ensuring that the teacher will hold open your slot and be there for you. Please extend these professionals the courtesy they deserve with regard to timely payments and regular attendance in order to maximize your musical education experience.
Even though students are expected to attend lessons every week, we understand that situations may arise such as vacations, funerals, sports, school, etc., that would make lesson attendance impossible for a given week. A 48-hour notice is required to cancel and the student can then reschedule a time with their teacher. Up to 4 make-ups will be allowed per year. Credits will only be given if teacher is absent without substitute or if store is closed. No-shows will incur regular charges for missed lesson. Planned vacations may be made up according to teacher availability, but teacher must be told at least one week before the vacation. There are absolutely no refunds on lessons already received or transferring of lesson credits from one teacher to another.
* Students are expected to practice lesson material at home. Ideally, 2 to 4 hours / week
or 20 – 30minutes a day. (More is better but practicing as often as possible is most important)
* All payments received will be applied to oldest balance first.
* Lessons may be denied and student may lose place on schedule if balance reaches more than 15 days past due
* Lessons will not be held or charged on the following Holidays: New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.
